The backlit photographs play off a haphazard consumption of  online images and  approaches to documenting and capturing cultural encounters that are  governed by ‘rules of practice’ of a personal archive – newly formed hierarchies and topographies.
Both artworks investigate the dominance of the male body in the history of art, while also examining the contemporary proposition of the online mix of low and high forms of culture, found online and captured on a smart phone.
